In honor of National Lipstick Day, I wanted to share three of my favorite lipsticks. I love wearing makeup on my lips whether it be a tinted balm or a full-color matte.

I love a cheap lipstick, which is why I’m especially drawn to products from Nyx. I love this lipstick because it’s matte and pretty long wearing and the color is pretty, everyday sort of a reddish plum. The color never looks too heavy because although it’s matte it applies sheerly, which makes it look softer. The cream-matte also feels nicer on lips because it’s less drying. I feel like I can wear this lipstick everywhere which is why it’s one of my favorites.

 

This lipstick was a stocking stuffer at Christmas last year (because no one is too old for Christmas presents) but I’m so glad it was. The color is a vibrant pink color, slightly magenta-y and so pretty. I normally stick to reds and rose/mauve color in my lipsticks so I was fortunate that I got it as a present because it is so pretty. It’s super bright and fun and I love wearing it when I need to tie a look together. While it’s a little much to wear to work every day it’s perfect to pair with a floral spring dress.

 

I think this might have been a Sephora Play sample but I am into it. When I first got it I thought it would be too nude for my taste. I don’t really wear nudes mostly because I’m not a Kardashian but also because I love wearing color on my lips. Luckily for me, this Too Faced lipstick has some beautiful pink undertones. This lipstick is also super matte. I wear it to work and it lasts through until dinner without me having to reapply but sometimes I even forget I’m wearing lipstick because it’s so light. I love this lipstick, especially for an everyday look.
